Job summary

CIP Constructions Group is seeking an experienced Foreman to join our site-based project team in Queensland. You will coordinate daily construction activities on site, lead subcontractors and direct labour, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery across projects.

The role requires strong leadership, solid construction knowledge and a proactive approach to WHS. You will report to the Project Manager/Site Manager and contribute to CIP’s quality standards on every project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within commercial or industrial construction.
• QLD Site Supervisor Licence is mandatory.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all day-to-day on-site construction activities.
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour to ensure productivity and quality.
• Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation, HSEQ Management System and site safety plans.
• Conduct site inductions and ensure safety documentation is approved before work begins.
• Identify, report and address safety hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
• Implement QA inspection and test plans and minimise defects.
• Coordinate trade interfaces, deliveries, materials handling and site security.
• Liaise with inspectors, authorities, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Support and manage site staff in line with CIP Constructions’ values.
• Escalate potential industrial relations issues to senior management as required.

Job description

CIP Constructions is a well-established commercial building contractor delivering high-quality projects across Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our site-based project team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager/Site Manager, the Foreman is responsible for the on-site organisation and control of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour, you will coordinate daily construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to CIP Constructions’ quality standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, sound construction knowledge, and a proactive approach to WHS and quality management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all day-to-day on-site construction activities
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure productivity and quality outcomes
• Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation, CIP’s HSEQ Management System, SWMS, and site safety plans
• Conduct site inductions and ensure no work commences without approved safety documentation
• Identify, report, and action safety hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately
• Implement QA inspection and test plans and minimise defective workmanship
• Coordinate trade interfaces, deliveries, materials handling, temporary works, and site security
• Liaise with inspectors, authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Support and manage site staff in line with CIP Constructions’ values
• Escalate potential industrial relations issues to senior management as required

About You

You are an experienced Foreman with a strong commercial construction background and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

You will have:

• QLD Site Supervisor Licence (mandatory)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within commercial or industrial construction
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, WHS legislation, and QA processes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, HRWL or relevant plant VOCs
• Internal development experience (e.g. Site Engineer pathway)
