Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Food and Toy Coordinator for the Toys ’n’ Tucker program, based at the Minchinbury warehouse. You’ll coordinate the daily sorting and packing of donated food and toys, support volunteers and ensure hampers are prepared with care and efficiency.

This 6 week contract runs from 2 November to 18 December. You’ll work with the Warehouse Manager to keep operations smooth, maintain safety and inclusivity, and help bring Christmas joy to families experiencing hardship.

Each Christmas, generous donations of food and toys are collected, sorted and packed into hampers and gift parcels for thousands of families across our communities. Based at our Minchinbury warehouse, you’ll play a hands‑on role in coordinating donations, supporting volunteers and ensuring Christmas hampers and gifts are prepared with care and efficiency. Your opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a busy, community‑focused Christmas program where your organisation, teamwork and leadership will make a tangible difference on a 6 week contract from the 2nd of November to the 18th of December Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you’ll help coordinate the daily sorting and packing of donated food and toys, ensuring volunteers are supported and operations run smoothly. You’ll create an organised, welcoming and safe environment where volunteers can contribute meaningfully while ensuring the quality of hampers and gift parcels prepared for families in need.

• Coordinate the sorting, packing and preparation of donated food and toys for distribution to families experiencing hardship.

• Maintain quality standards by ensuring food donations are appropriately sorted, checked and prioritised according to expiry dates.
• Promote a positive, safe and inclusive working environment, including delivering workplace safety briefings when required.

What’s preferred

• Previous experience supervising, training or coordinating volunteers.
• Experience in warehouse operations, stock handling, food donations or community programmes.
• Experience supporting seasonal campaigns, events or high‑volume distribution activities.
