Job summary

Respect Gracemere Gardens in Regional Australia is seeking a Food Services Cook for a weekend part-time role. You will work with our Chef to prepare and serve meals for residents, ensuring food safety and smooth kitchen operation.

The role supports menu planning, meal presentation, and hygiene standards, with opportunities to progress as new Fresh Cook Kitchen concepts are introduced. A supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.
• Certificate II/III in Commercial Cookery (Aged Care desirable).
• Current National Police Check & NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in residential aged care food services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences and dietary requirements.
• Prepare and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About The Role

As a Food Services Cook, you'll work alongside our Chef to prepare and serve meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly.

This is a Part-Time position for Weekends and potentially progress as we introduce and exciting new Fresh Cook Kitchen. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to work weekends as a must.

You'll be joining a supportive team environment where everyone works together, and your contribution is genuinely appreciated.

No two days are the same! As Food Services Cook you will:

• Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

A Desirable Candidate Would Have

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Certificate II or III or Commercial Cookery Aged Care Desirable)
• Current National Police Check & NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care food services.
