Job summary

Respect Gracemere Gardens is seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our team in Gracemere, Queensland. You will support the kitchen with meal preparation and service for residents, upholding food safety standards and a smooth dining operation.

This part-time role requires flexibility across weekdays and weekends, with shifts that fit around residents' needs. You will work in a supportive, not-for-profit environment that values dignity and genuine connection.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.
• Current National Police Check & NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in residential aged care food services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About the Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you'll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly.

This is a Part-time position. The successful candidates will need to be flexible to work weekdays and weekends across a range of shifts.

You'll be joining a supportive team environment where everyone works together, and your contribution is genuinely appreciated.

No two days are the same! As Food Service Assistant you will:
