Job summary

Moran Health Care Group is seeking an efficient and professional Food Services Assistant to join the Moran Engadine home’s Food Services Team in southern Sydney. This permanent part-time role offers above-award rates from $28.16 to $30.38 base hourly rate.

You will join a driven, diverse team in modern facilities where you can develop your skills and contribute to residents’ daily enjoyment. Vaccinations and checks are required.

Qualifications

• Interest in food, nutrition, and well-being.
• Ability to work as part of a kitchen team.
• Pride in delivering quality food and service.

Responsibilities

• Plating food at mealtimes.
• Preparing food under direction of Chef.
• Keep work area clean and ready for handover.
• Restock supplies and receive goods.
• Record temperatures and complete checklists.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards.
• Work as a member of the Food Services team.

About The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an efficient and professional permanent part time Food Services Assistant to join our Food Services Team at our Moran Engadine home, nested in a family oriented suburb in southern Sydney. Above award rates - from $28.16 to $30.38 base hourly rate!

Key Duties

• Plating food at mealtimes
• Preparing food under the direction of Chef
• Keeping your assigned work area clean ready for handover to the next shift
• Restocking supplies and receive goods
• Recording temperatures, complete checklists
• Maintaining personal hygiene standards
• Working as a member of the Food Services teams

Skills/Requirements

• Interested in food, nutrition, or general well-being and their benefits
• Interested in working as part of a team in a kitchen environment
• A person who takes pride in what they do
• Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate highly desirable
• Must have a valid work permit and a current police check
• Current?Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination including booster
