Job summary

Moran Health Care Group in Sydney's Sylvania area is seeking a friendly Food Services Assistant to join our Food Services Team at Moran Sylvania home. This permanent part-time position offers afternoon shifts and aims to support our residents to enjoy daily life.

You will work with a dedicated team in modern facilities, preparing and plating meals, maintaining hygiene, and recording temperatures. Relevant food handling certificate is desirable; a valid work permit and police check are required.

Qualifications

• Interested in food, nutrition, or general well-being and their benefits.
• Interested in working as part of a team in a kitchen environment.
• Pride in your work and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plating food at mealtimes
• Preparing food under the direction of Chef
• Keeping your assigned work area clean ready for handover to the next shift
• Restocking supplies and receive goods
• Recording temperatures, complete checklists
• Maintaining personal hygiene standards
• Working as a member of the Food Services teams

About the opportunity

We are currently seeking an efficient and professional Food Services Assistant to join our Food Services Team at ourMoran Sylvania home, nested in an urban setting near recreational and social venues.

• Permanent Part Time Afternoon Shifts Available!

You will work with motivated and diverse people in modern facilities, and you will be assisted to develop your skills.

You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment and supports individuals to further develop their skills.

Key Duties:

• Plating food at mealtimes
• Preparing food under the direction of Chef
• Keeping your assigned work area clean ready for handover to the next shift

Skills/Requirements:
