Job summary

Respect Group Limited in Victoria is seeking a part-time Food Services Assistant at RM Begg aged care residence. You will work with the Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals while upholding high food safety standards and a welcoming dining environment.

Shifts are afternoons on Tue, Wed, and Thu, with opportunities to take additional shifts. This role offers meaningful work in a supportive, values-led not-for-profit organisation that supports residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About the Role

RM Begg is a beautifully appointed aged care residence offering 90 spacious private rooms, each thoughtfully designed with expansive ensuites, built-in wardrobes, and convenient in-room amenities including telephones and high-speed internet. Our home provides a refined and welcoming environment, with a range of elegant private and semi-private indoor and outdoor spaces for residents and staff to enjoy. As a Food Services Assistant, you'll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents while maintaining high food safety standards and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organised, and welcoming.

This is a part-time position, and the successful candidate must be available to work afternoon shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts when required.
