Job summary

MACG is seeking a Food Services Assistant in Traralgon, Victoria. This role supports residents with nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment, within a care and hospitality team.

We offer permanent part-time shifts (18.5 hours per fortnight) with additional casual opportunities for flexible work. You’ll help with meal prep, service, cleaning, and food safety, contributing to a compassionate, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in food services, hospitality or aged care is desirable but not essential.
• Passionate about providing excellent service to older people.
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

We have a Permanent Part-Time opportunity of 18.5 hours per fortnight, as well as casual opportunities available for those looking for greater flexibility.

The available shifts are:

3 x 16:00-20:00 and 1 x 06:30-14:00

About the Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our residents to enjoy nutritious, delicious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Working as part of our care and hospitality team, you will:

• Assist with meal preparation and food service
• Prepare and serve meals and refreshments to residents
• Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control requirements
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and dining environment
