Job summary

MACG is seeking a Food Services Assistant in Traralgon, Victoria. This role supports residents with nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment, within a care and hospitality team.

We offer permanent part-time shifts (18.5 hours per fortnight) with additional casual opportunities for flexible work. You’ll help with meal prep, service, cleaning, and food safety, contributing to a compassionate, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in food services, hospitality or aged care is desirable but not essential.
• Passionate about providing excellent service to older people.
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and food service.
• Prepare and serve meals and refreshments to residents.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and dining environment.
• Assist with cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Support residents with a friendly, respectful and person-centred approach.
• Work collaboratively with the broader care team.
