Job summary

Palm Lake Care Deception Bay is seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working approximately 49 hours across a fortnight, with an afternoon shift from 2pm to 8pm. You will report directly to the Chef Manager and be an integral part of preparing meals for our residents.

You will work as part of a supportive team, adhering to Food Safety Standards and benefiting from ongoing on-the-job and online training.

Qualifications

• A current National Police Check.
• Prior experience in a similar role within Aged Care essential
• Readiness and willing to learn new skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative
• Knowledge of Food Safety Standards

Responsibilities

• The preparation of serving nutritious and attractive meals to our residents
• Working with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented in an attractive and appeasing manner.
• Understanding and respecting our resident's preferences and ensuring all food and beverage is served accordingly.
• Serving and distribution of morning and afternoon teas
• Assisting the Cook with the ordering and rotating of food stocks
• The cleaning of dishes after each meal ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained for our residents.
• Delivering excellent customer service to our residents and their families

Shifts Available

Palm Lake Care Deception Bay is seeking Food Service Assistants to join our team on a permanent Part-Time basis, working approximately 49 hours across a fortnight.

• Afternoon Shift: 2pm to 8pm
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Week 2: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Weekend shifts available with penalty rates.

Responsibilities

As a Food Services Assistant you will report directly to the Chef Manager and be an integral part of the team responsible for:
