Job summary

Estia Health in Kogarah is seeking a casual Food Service Assistant to support daily meal preparation and service for residents. You will participate in food prep, cleaning, and menu variation with the team and residents, while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

This role requires hands-on kitchen work experience and good time management, with a Basic Food Handling Course as a plus. The position is on-site with casual hours and opportunities to contribute to residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work; aged care experience is a bonus.
• Excellent time management and planning skills.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drink.
• Cleaning (including dishes).
• Changing up the menu with team and residents to cater to individuals.
• Keeping records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Active on your feet for most of the shift.
