Job summary

B&E Foods in Blacktown, NSW is seeking a Quality Control Officer to uphold food safety and quality across reception, processing and dispatch. This full-time role runs 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with hours possibly changing from late 2026, and it offers a dynamic production environment.

You will perform daily checks, enforce GMP, inspect labels, calibrate instruments, investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions while supporting continuous improvement in our poultry processing and food

Qualifications

Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP practices and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily food safety and quality checks during receival, processing, finished products, storage and dispatching.
Monitor GMP practices, temperature checks, quality and integrity inspections, and pre-op checks.
Inspect labels during processing and packing for accurate information and correct labeling.
Calibrate instruments, vehicles and refrigerated rooms for accurate measurements.
Investigate and resolve non-conformances; implement corrective and preventative actions.
Conduct staff training on induction, GMP and food safety topics.
Routinely verify quality records to maintain up-to-date documentation.
Act as backup for the night shift Quality Control/QA Officer when required.
