Job summary

Crystalbrook Collection is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the Flynn’s Italian service on a rotating 24–38 hour weekly schedule in Cairns. You’ll guide the floor team, ensure warm, attentive guest experiences and coordinate service flow each shift.

You will drive operational efficiency, recognise revenue opportunities and nurture product knowledge across the team to elevate the guest journey in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Warm, polished hands-on leadership style.
• Strong communication skills to guide, motivate and support a team.
• Genuine passion for food, wine and memorable dining experiences.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and solutions-focused during busy service.
• Understanding of restaurant operations, cost control and commercial performance.
• Experience using point-of-sale systems.
• Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor will play a key role in bringing the Flynn’s Italian experience to life each night.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives on the floor, enjoys setting the tone for service and takes pride in helping a team perform at its best. You will coordinate the team throughout each shift, keep service running smoothly and ensure every guest experience feels warm, attentive and unmistakably Flynn’s Italian.

Alongside leading service, you will help strengthen the commercial performance of the restaurant by supporting efficient operations, recognising revenue opportunities and building strong product knowledge across the team.

This is a part‑time, permanent opportunity offering 24–38 hours per week across a rotating seven‑day roster.

You are a confident and engaging hospitality leader who genuinely enjoys being on the floor. You know how to read a room, support the team through a busy service and create an atmosphere where guests feel welcomed, looked after and excited to return.

You will bring:

• Previous supervisory experience within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment
• A warm, polished and hands‑on leadership style
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to guide, motivate and support a team
• A genuine passion for food, wine and creating memorable dining experiences
• The ability to remain calm, organised and solutions‑focused during busy service periods
• A sound understanding of restaurant operations, cost control and commercial performance
• Experience using point‑of‑sale systems
• A current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
