Job summary

Seek.com.au is seeking a passionate and driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead our resort restaurant, cafe, and bar on Phillip Island. You will manage day-to-day operations, recruit and train staff, and oversee service quality in a beautiful coastal destination.

Open/close procedures, rostering, and staff performance are key responsibilities, along with maintaining OH&S standards and ensuring a seamless guest experience across all F&B services.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar management role within hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Experience managing front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage outlet.
• Recruit, train and roster staff; supervise functions and events.
• Open/close restaurant; set up FOH & BOH for daily trade; manage POS and guest service.
• Prepare hot/cold food; lead staff to ensure service quality and product delivery.
• Ensure cleaning, maintenance and banking reconciliation are completed daily.
• Coordinate schedules with budget and handle industry OH&S requirements.

How You’ll Shine

• The Food & BeverageManager will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the Food and Beverage outlet, including recruitment, training of all new and existing staff, rostering staff and managing floor staff during a function.
• Open/Closing of Restaurant
• Set up of FOH & BOH for daily trade
• Customer service, use of POS
• Preparation of hot/cold food
• Lead a team of staff and coordinate breaks
• Be responsible for staff performance and delivery of product and service quality
• Ensure all preparation, cleaning and maintenance schedules are completed on a daily basis
• Cleaning and closing of store, including reconciliation of sales and banking.
• Effectively perform all duties of functions, special events and related F&B services, including owner and guest service.
• Effectively perform all duties of F&B services including but not limited restaurant day to day operation, bar, events and meetings

What You’ll Bring
