Job summary

Kingfisher Bay Resort on World Heritage-listed K’gari (Fraser Island) seeks a Food and Beverage Duty Manager to support the F&B Manager in day-to-day operations across outlets, ensuring service standards and profitability. You will lead and train teams, uphold Responsible Service of Alcohol, and coach staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences while working within set guidelines.

This full-time role requires relocation to our staff village on the island and offers a pathway to growth within

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Food and Beverage supervisory role.
• Understanding of Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements under QLD laws.
• Authorization to live and work in Australia.
• Barista and beverage making duties are highly regarded.
• F&B knowledge including a la carte and bar service is advantageous.
• Food Safety Course and current QLD RSA certificate are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Food & Beverage Manager in day-to-day F&B operations across Kingfisher Bay Resort.
• Coordinate and supervise outlets to ensure service standards and profitability.
• Train and develop team members to meet Kingfisher Bay Resort standards.
• Assist in managing outlets in the absence of the F&B Manager.

About the Role

The Food and Beverage Duty Manager will be responsible for supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in the operations of the Food & Beverage department at Kingfisher Bay Resort according to the company standard. Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the day-to-day functioning of the Resort’s Food and Beverage outlets, the Food & Beverage Duty Manager will assist in managing the food & beverage outlets in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager.

Other responsibilities include maximizing profitability, meeting and exceeding customer’s needs and service expectations, ensuring team members are trained to the Kingfisher Bay Resort Standard, and training and supporting all team members in all areas of the operation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Food and Beverage Supervisory role
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Understanding of Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements under the QLD Liquor Licensing Laws
• Authorization to live and work in Australia
• Competent in barista and beverage making duties (highly regarded)
• Demonstrated food and beverage skills, including a la carte and bar service (highly regarded)
• Food Safety Course (Essential)Current QLD RSA certificate (Essential)
• Espresso Coffee Making (Desirable)
• RMLV certificateor ability to complete
