Job summary

Accor’s Novotel Sydney International Airport is seeking a Food & Beverage team member on a part-time or casual basis. You will represent our friendly service ethos, explain menus, seat guests, and coordinate with the kitchen to fulfil orders, while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a genuine interest in F&B, strong customer service, and a professional appearance. RSA is required, with a flexible roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in Food and Beverage and guest service.
• Ability to listen, ask questions and resolve guest needs.
• Professional presentation representing the brand.

Responsibilities

• Explain the menu and assist guests with dietary needs.
• Welcome and seat guests according to hotel standards.
• Use POS system to place orders.
• Liaise with Kitchen on special requests or delays.
• Follow hygiene processes to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Maintain hygiene standards for food handling and presentation.
• Promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and WHS practices.

The Role

This is your opportunity to join our Food and Beverage team on part time or casual basis. As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy.

Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages;
• Welcome and seat guests according to hotel standards;
• Use POS system to place orders;
• Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals;
• Follow all hygienic processes to ensure safety for all guests & staff;
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation;
• Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practises.

Qualifications

• Previous food & beverage experience desirable.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Hold a valid RSA.

Parental Leave

As staff member, you will receive 10 weeks paid parental leave at full salary for primary carer in addition to government-funded parental leave. Part-time and casual equivalent available on a pro-rata basis. In addition, Continuation of superannuation payments while on paid parental leave will remain.
