Job summary

Novotel Sydney International Airport, part of AccorHotels, invites you to join our Food and Beverage team on a part-time or casual basis. You will embody our hospitality and service philosophy, assisting guests with menus, dietary needs, and beverage choices.

As a friendly team member, you will welcome guests, take orders with a POS system, coordinate with the Kitchen on special requests, and uphold strict hygiene and safety standards in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, guest-focused attitude.
• RSA certification required or eligible to obtain.
• Experience in Food & Beverage desirable.

Responsibilities

• Explain the menu to guests and assist with dietary needs and beverage recommendations.
• Welcome and seat guests according to hotel standards.
• Use POS system to place orders.
• Liaise with Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals.
• Follow hygienic processes to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Maintain hygiene standards for food handling and presentation.
• Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and upholding WHS practices.

The Role

This is your opportunity to join our Food and Beverage team on part time or casual basis. As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy. Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages;
• Welcome and seat guests according to hotelstandards;
• Use POSsystem to place orders;
• Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals;
• Follow all hygienic processes to ensure safety for all guests & staff;
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation;
• Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practises.

• Previous food & beverage experience desirable.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Hold a valid RSA.

Parental Leave

As staff member, you will receive 10 weeks paid parental leave at full salary for primary carer in addition to government-funded parental leave. Part-time and casual equivalent available on a pro-rata basis. In addition, Continuation of superannuation payments while on paid parental leave will remain.
