Job summary

Simplot Bathurst Plant is seeking a Production Operator for a permanent full-time role at our Bathurst facility. You will work 8.5-hour afternoon shifts (15:15–23:45), Monday to Friday, with weekend OT where available, supporting canned and frozen vegetable lines and snacks.

Starting base rate is $33.56 per hour, plus a 15% afternoon shift loading and overtime where applicable (weekend OT paid at double time).

Qualifications

• Commitment to Safety, Health and Wellbeing in the workplace.
• Experience in manufacturing, process or mechanical roles.
• Food processing experience is highly regarded.
• LF Forklift Licence is highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication.
• Time management and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to site Safety, Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
• Safely operate fixed plant food processing machinery and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Clean and sanitize production lines and work areas.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for defects.
• Load and replenish consumables within packing area lines.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety practices.
• Complete daily shift logs and system entries.
• Contribute to site CI processes.
