Job summary

Floral Expressions is seeking an experienced Florist to join our team in Northmead NSW 2152. You will design and create bespoke arrangements for weddings, events and everyday occasions, bringing our customers' floral visions to life.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly rates, and staff discounts on premium flowers. You will work in a creative, collaborative environment with opportunities to develop your craft and stay abreast of seasonal trends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Florist
• Strong creative and artistic skills with an eye for colour, design and composition
• Knowledge of flower types, seasonal availability, care requirements and conditioning techniques
• Proficiency in a range of floral design styles and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks safely
• A relevant qualification or certification in floristry is desirable but not essential if you demonstrate strong practical experience

Floral Expressions is seeking an experienced Florist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative and dynamic environment, where you will use your artistic skills and floral expertise to design and create beautiful arrangements for our valued customers. Based in Northmead NSW 2152, you will be at the heart of our business, bringing our customers' floral visions to life and contributing to the success of our established floristry service.

What you'll be doing

• Creating bespoke floral arrangements and designs for weddings, events, funerals and special occasions
• Preparing and conditioning flowers and foliage to ensure the highest quality and longevity of arrangements
• Assisting customers in selecting appropriate flowers, colours and styles based on their preferences and occasion
• Processing customer orders and maintaining accurate records of floral designs and specifications
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic work environment, including proper storage of flowers and materials
• Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with clients
• Keeping up to date with current floral trends and seasonal offerings
• Supporting the team with stock management and ordering supplies as needed

What we're looking for

• Strong creative and artistic skills with an eye for colour, design and composition

• Proficiency in a range of floral design styles and techniques, including traditional and contemporary arrangements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and understand their needs
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks safely
• A relevant qualification or certification in floristry is desirable but not essential if you demonstrate strong practical experience
