Job summary

Ventia is seeking Expressions of Interest for Floorhand opportunities on Barrow Island. This role supports safe, efficient rig operations in a remote, rostered environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Ideal candidates are motivated with a positive attitude and reliability. A Manual Driver's Licence is required; prior labouring, construction, agriculture or similar experience is advantageous but not essential. Applications are reviewed as opportunities arise.

About The Role

Floorhands are an integral part of our rig crews, supporting safe and efficient operations in a rostered, remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assisting with daily rig operations.
• Handling drilling equipment, materials and tools safely.
• Supporting rig moves, maintenance and operational activities.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe worksite.
• Following company procedures and safety requirements.
• Working outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
• Supporting the wider crew to achieve operational objectives.

What We're Looking For

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliability, initiative and a strong work ethic.
• The ability to work effectively within a team.
• The ability to work in a remote location on an even time roster.
• Previous labouring, construction, agriculture, trade assistant or similar experience is advantageous but not essential.
