Job summary

La Piazza in Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW seeks a Floor Manager to lead the front-of-house team during busy services, guide staff, coordinate with the kitchen and ensure guests have a warm, smooth dining experience.

You'll be responsible for rostering, supervising shifts and maintaining high dining standards, including evenings and weekends. Previous FOH leadership experience preferred in a family-run setting.

Lead the floor at a family-run Italian restaurant.

La Piazza has been welcoming diners to Brighton-Le-Sands since 2010. With wood-fired pizza, Italian food and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, good hospitality is at the heart of what we do.

We’re looking for a Floor Manager who enjoys being in the middle of service: guiding the team, keeping the dining room running smoothly and making guests feel welcome. You’ll lead our front-of-house team and manage its roster, working directly with the owners, who retain responsibility for overall restaurant management.

What’s on offer

$80,000–$90,000 per year plus super, depending on experience.

Direct access to the owners and responsibility for how your floor team works, from the weekly roster to service on the night.

Your role

Lead service from the floor, allocate sections and step in where the team needs you.

Prepare the front-of-house roster, plan staffing around service needs and organise shift cover.

Brief, coach and support the team so everyone knows their section, priorities and service expectations.

Work closely with the kitchen to coordinate orders, timing and guest requests.

Welcome guests and handle questions or concerns with warmth and sound judgement.

Keep the dining room ready for service and maintain consistent standards throughout each shift.

About you

You may already be a Floor Manager or Front of House Manager, or an experienced restaurant supervisor ready to step up. You’ll bring:

Experience leading a restaurant floor team through busy services.

Practical experience with rostering and arranging staff cover.

Clear communication, a calm approach under pressure and an eye for what guests and your team need.

A willingness to work alongside the team, including evenings and weekends.
