Spaceodysseyhub is seeking a Flight Software Engineer based in Adelaide, South Australia, to develop software for spacecraft systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in real-time operating systems and embedded programming, delivering critical software that ensures mission success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant industry or research experience; a strong senior/lead background (5+ years) is desirable.
• Hands-on experience programming for real-time operating systems (VxWorks 653, RTEMS, FreeRTOS, cFS).
• Familiarity with formal-verification tools, model-based code generation, and static-analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Write software for radiation-hardened processors under real-time operating systems.
• Design and implement attitude-control loops and fault-protection algorithms.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop simulation and validate software against flight-hardware models.
• Maintain DOORS traceability and conduct reviews and CM tasks.
• Perform HIL simulation and validate against flight-hardware models.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
