Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council – Dalby QLD is seeking a Utilities Operator to assist the Utilities Senior Network Operator in monitoring and maintaining water, wastewater and gas networks, meeting safety and environmental standards.

You will operate pump stations, perform routine servicing and repairs, follow SOPs, and support customer service outcomes while benefiting from a 12% superannuation and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in monitoring and operating network systems, pump stations and water distribution systems.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater networks with experience in labouring and using plant and equipment.
• Proven initiative, good work ethic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate network systems, pump stations and water distribution systems.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater networks with experience in labouring and using plant and equipment.
• Servicing, lubricating, cleaning, and refuelling small plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs.
• Assist the Utilities Senior Network Operator to provide services that support safe water, wastewater and gas services.
• Meet statutory requirements for performance, safety and environmental management.
• Ensure customer service standards are achieved to a high standard.
