Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for Royal Mail postal collection and delivery staff with driving responsibilities. The role covers delivering and collecting mail in a defined area, starting with sorting mail in the office, then driving a van with a colleague, and finishing rounds within about four hours.

You will use a handheld device for signatures, work a mix of walking and driving, and may work Sundays as part of a 5-day, 30-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role would be ideal.
• Ability to work as part of a team and alone.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting mail and parcels to homes and businesses within a set area.
• Start the day by sorting mail at the local delivery office.
• Complete vehicle checks; training will be provided; drive a van in a shared route.
• Use a handheld device to capture signatures during deliveries.
• Work a mix of driving and walking, with some days requiring relocation by driving to a location.
