Job summary

GR Employment Ltd is recruiting a Courier Driver in Northampton (Brackmills area) on behalf of one of our customers. You will deliver and collect shipments daily, ensuring a fast, reliable service with a positive, can-do attitude. This is a temp-to-perm role with potential for permanent placement.

Working hours are 8 AM to 6 PM (one hour unpaid break). Start/finish times vary by route and traffic. Overtime and premiums apply, including weekend surcharges.

Hourly Rate: £14.73 per hour

Overtime paid time and a half after 40 hours

Shift Premium: Extra £2.80 per hour after 7.00 pm

Saturday Premium: Extra £1.22 per hour

Sunday Premium: Extra £2.27 per hour

Job responsibilities:

As a Courier Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach.

You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations. While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes to support business needs.

You will also be responsible for scanning shipments and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met. The role requires the ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
