Job summary

Cessnock Multipurpose Children's Centre (CMCC) in Cessnock NSW is seeking a Payroll and HR Coordinator for a 6-month parental leave contract. The role, 2 days per week, focuses on specialist payroll support for ~130 staff and HR administration including onboarding and documentation.

You will report to the CEO and work with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate, compliant payroll and HR processes, with potential flexibility for school hours.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience with multiple awards, enterprise agreements or industrial instruments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Experience within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector (desirable).
• Experience interpreting the Children's Services Award and/or Educational Services (Teachers) Award (desirable).
• HR administration or recruitment coordination experience.
