Newcastle Anglican is seeking a Payroll Officer to provide quality payroll and administrative support within the People & Culture team. Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you’ll handle the fortnightly pay run, payroll reports, and confidentiality across staff and related parties.

Key requirements include payroll qualifications or 2 years payroll experience, strong data entry skills, and experience with Preceda or Emplive; a supportive team environment and flexible arrangements are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Qualifications in payroll or 2 years payroll experience.
• High proficiency in payroll data entry in high transaction environments.
• Demonstrated competence with payroll systems and processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of confidentiality principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Experience with multiple awards and enterprise agreements.
• Experience in using Preceda or Emplive/time & attendance systems.

Aufgaben

• Provide information and assistance to staff, by all forms of correspondence
• Undertake administrative duties including scanning, emailing, photocopying, typing, document production, data entry, record keeping and filing
• Provide accurate payroll reports
• Assist in the preparation and processing of the fortnightly pay run, including checking timesheets, within deadlines
• Prepare, process, and report on workers compensation claims, including reviewing and reconciling reimbursement schedules
• Process employee terminations, including providing employees with certificates of service
• Contribute to teamwork and a cooperative approach to outcomes
• Provide support across all Newcastle Anglican teams as required
