Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking Mental Health Support Workers across the New England North West region to provide recovery-focused, community-based support for adults living with mental health conditions. You’ll work to build skills, independence and social inclusion in a strengths-based, person-centred approach within our compassionate, values-driven team.

You’ll need a Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent, experience with mental health, strong communication, a NSW Driver’s Licence

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people living with mental health conditions or psychosocial needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centred approach.
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across regional locations as required.
• Ability to meet probity requirements, including Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to work towards personal goals, strengthen wellbeing and build greater independence.
• Assist with daily living, social and recreational activities based on each person’s individual needs and goals.
• Promote community access, social inclusion and meaningful participation.
• Provide practical assistance, advocacy and capacity-building support while working collaboratively with other services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to safe, consistent and high-quality service delivery.
