Job summary

Christian Community Services is seeking enthusiastic Personal Care Workers for Cardiff Heights Groves House, a caring aged care facility. Casual role with flexible hours and a supportive team environment offers meaningful work supporting elderly residents.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), complete HLTHPS007, and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and a person-centred approach to care. Sponsorship is not available in Australia.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of HLTHPS007 unit to administer and monitor medication.
• Experience in an aged care environment and knowledge of the Aged Act and standards.
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.
• Police check cleared.
• Cleared in the Aged Care Banning Order register.
• Proof of work rights in Australia; sponsorship not available.
• Up-to-date immunizations (influenza and Covid-19).
• Willingness to undertake a psychometric assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Person-centred approach to care.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care per the Resident Care Plan.
• Assist with showering, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Support mobility, transfers and daily living activities.
• Assist with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Document care and report changes in condition.
• Communicate with Registered Nurses and clinical team.
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment for residents and families.
