Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS) in Canberra seeks an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred care to NDIS clients. The role emphasizes helping clients maintain independence, wellbeing, and social connections within the community.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, car insurance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, and First Aid & CPR certifications. Casual position with on-call flexibility across weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with manual handling and high-care support.
• Prior experience as a Disability Support Worker or AIN.
• Initiative to support clients in achieving goals and community connections.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients.
• Assist with daily living, personal care, domestic tasks, transport, and community access.
• Support clients attending appointments and engaging in social activities.
• Plan and accompany clients on outings and activities.
• Work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays (on-call flexibility required).
• Perform Disability Support Worker and Assistant in Nursing (AIN) duties.
