Job summary

Respect Wattleglen in Sale, VIC is seeking a casual Personal Care Assistant to support residents with dignity and choice in their daily living, in a warm, supportive team.

You’ll assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily activities, document changes, and build meaningful relationships with residents and families.

Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) is preferred; current screenings may be required. Salary packaging benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aged care or a similar role is desirable.
• Current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including assistance with showering, dressing, and grooming.
• Supporting residents with mobility and safe manual handling.
• Assisting with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
• Observing and reporting changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Working collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team.
• Following individual care plans and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Supporting residents to participate in activities and maintain their independence.
