Job summary

IAG in Sydney offers a permanent full-time Fleet Underwriting Consultant role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney). The position supports hybrid work, with a requirement to be in the Sydney office a minimum of 5 days a fortnight.

You will underwrite new business and renewals for motor fleet, assess risks, and nurture broker partnerships through regular communication and site visits. Strong collaboration and underwriting expertise are essential to deliver strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships.
• Current knowledge of insurance products and industry trends.
• Solid technical underwriting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting to brokers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Motor Fleet experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job description

As a Fleet Underwriting Consultant, you’ll manage a broker portfolio by underwriting new business, managing renewals and attending broker visitations. You’ll assess moderate to complex risks, collaborate with underwriting and broker relationship teams, and build strong broker partnerships through regular communication and site visits. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney). The role offers hybrid work arrangements however you must be able to be in our Sydney office a minimum of 5 days a fortnight.
