Reporting to the Group Manager – Logistics and Transportation, this senior individual contributor role will oversee the full vehicle lifecycle, including procurement, allocation, maintenance, compliance, incident management, supplier performance and fleet reporting.

You will work across the business to ensure vehicles are safe, fit for purpose, available when needed and managed efficiently. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical business function, strengthen fleet governance and identify practical opportunities to improve utilisation, user experience and operating costs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of Adbri’s light vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and available to meet business requirements.
  • Administer vehicle acquisition, allocation, replacement and disposal activities.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to maximise availability and minimise downtime.

  • Implement and maintain fleet policies, standards, procedures and governance controls.
  • Manage vehicle incidents, insurance claims, investigations and associated reporting requirements.
  • Promote safe driving practices and coordinate driver safety initiatives, training and awareness activities.
  • Manage relationships with leasing providers, vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers and other fleet service partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance, service delivery and contract outcomes.
  • Monitor fleet expenditure and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare regular fleet reporting covering utilisation, cost, compliance, safety and sustainability.
  • Identify and implement improvements to fleet processes, systems and reporting.
  • Support the introduction of fleet technology, telematics and low-emission vehicle initiatives.
What you will need to succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet management, asset management, logistics, transport operations or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of light vehicle operations, vehicle lifecycle management and fleet administration.
  • Experience managing fleet suppliers, maintenance providers and vehicle procurement activities.
  • Sound understanding of vehicle registrations, licensing, insurance, workplace health and safety obligations and relevant transport legislation.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management, cost control, forecasting and fleet expenditure analysis.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience using fleet management systems, telematics platforms and business reporting tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to challenge non-compliance and influence positive outcomes.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel to operational sites and offices across Australia.

A qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or a related field will be highly regarded. Experience with fleet optimisation, low-emission or electric vehicle programs, and Chain of Responsibility principles is also desirable.
