Job summary

Brisbane City Council in Wacol is seeking a Fleet Asset Optimisation Officer. You will combine fleet expertise with procurement knowledge across trucks, light commercial vehicles, and plant equipment to deliver safe, cost-efficient fleet outcomes.

The role involves developing fit-for-purpose specifications, collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in the procurement, management and optimisation of fleet, plant and equipment.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and WHS legislation relating to plant and equipment.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and supporting documentation.
• Strong project management skills with timely, budget-conscious delivery.
• Experience evaluating suppliers and managing supplier performance.
• Ability to develop practical and effective maintenance plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
