Job summary

Brighton Grammar School in Melbourne seeks an English Teacher for a fixed-term role in term 1, 2027. This full-time position covers a colleague's leave; graduates are welcome to apply. Reporting to the Head of English Faculty, you will use evidence-based teaching to deliver a curriculum that challenges each student.

You will contribute to a culture of excellence, collaborate on curriculum design, and be involved in co-curricular activities. VIT registration is essential.

Qualifications

Demonstrate effective classroom management to maximise learning.
Understand and apply the principles of the science of learning.
Deliver a knowledge-based curriculum with evidence-based strategies.
Utilise explicit instruction and frequent formative assessment to check understanding.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan, implement and review curriculum.

Responsibilities

Deliver curriculum using evidence-informed teaching strategies.
