Job summary

JTH Asset Management is currently seeking experienced, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters for ongoing CHPP maintenance work at a coal mine near Dysart, QLD. This role features a 4/4/4/2 dayshift-only roster, DIDO from Mackay, and weekend home time with a supportive crew.

You will work across coal handling and preparation plant maintenance scopes, carrying out fixed plant maintenance, repairs and safety-critical tasks in an active mining environment.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
• Current driver's licence.
• Current Standard 11 is preferred.
• Working at Heights and confined space/gas test atmospheres knowledge.
• High Risk EWP ticket or equivalent.
• Commitment to safety, quality and workmanship.
• Ability to work in CHPP/washplant environments.

Responsibilities

• Fixed plant maintenance, servicing and repairs.
• Mechanical inspections and fault finding.
• Maintenance of conveyors, crushers, screens and related plant equipment.
• Planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Support breakdown maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to required standard.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work on a family-friendly 4/4/4/2 dayshift-only roster, with the added benefit of being home every weekend. Join a well-established and supportive team with a strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.

DIDO ONLY Applicants must be based in Mackay or the surrounding region and able to drive in and out.
