Job summary

Mader Group is a leading heavy equipment maintenance provider currently seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters for DIDO or FIFO opportunities in NSW, Australia. Role involves a 7/7 roster with camps, supportive crews and a strong safety-focused culture.

Key duties include maintenance, repairs and breakdowns on CHPP equipment, conveyors, crushers and gearboxes, plus alignment and installation tasks. NSW Coal Board Medical is advantageous for applicants.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with Cert III or equivalent.
• NSW Coal Board Medical is advantageous.
• Driver's License required.
• WAH, confined spaces, gas testing competencies.
• White Construction Card and Standard 11 SOA.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and breakdowns across the CHPP.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, gearboxes and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to minimise plant downtime.
• Inspect, service and condition monitor fixed plant and equipment.
• Replace bearings, seals, belts, pulleys, rollers, couplings and other components.
• Perform alignment, fitting, installation and removal of mechanical equipment.

We’re seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters for DIDO or FIFO opportunities depending on location, working a 7/7 roster. Enjoy great camps, supportive crews and a strong safety-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and breakdowns across the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP).
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, gearboxes and associated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to minimise plant downtime.
• Conduct inspections, servicing and condition monitoring of fixed plant and equipment.
• Replace bearings, seals, belts, pulleys, rollers, couplings and other mechanical components.
• Perform alignment, fitting, installation and removal of mechanical equipment.
