Job summary

You will set up, program, and operate CNC machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a CNC Machinist or Metal Machinist.
• Experience operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Operate a range of CNC machines including Okuma and Mori Seiki machining centres and CNC lathes.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust tooling, feed rates, and speeds for efficient production.
• Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, callipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
• Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement.
• Load and unload materials and maintain efficient production workflow.
• Polish, deburr, and finish machined parts to meet required quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment.
