Job summary

Programmed / PERSOLKELLY in Banksmeadow NSW is seeking an experienced Fitter for a shutdown period. You will perform mechanical installation, maintenance and fault-finding tasks on site, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Shift is Day Shift Monday to Friday (6am-2:30pm) with possible overtime to 4pm; prolonged project from 31st Aug to 11th Sept. Confined Space tickets and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Cert 3 in Engineering or Certificate of Proficiency in Fitting & Machining (Australian recognised).
• Experience in mechanical installation and repairs.
• Experience with maintenance (preventive, predictive and corrective).
• Ability to modification, commissioning, testing, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Attend breakdowns to all plant and equipment.
• Commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installation and repairs on site during shutdown.
• Carry out preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot, test, modify and diagnose faults on plant equipment.
• Attend breakdowns and assist with repairs as needed.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
