Job summary
Programmed / PERSOLKELLY in Banksmeadow NSW is seeking an experienced Fitter for a shutdown period. You will perform mechanical installation, maintenance and fault-finding tasks on site, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Shift is Day Shift Monday to Friday (6am-2:30pm) with possible overtime to 4pm; prolonged project from 31st Aug to 11th Sept. Confined Space tickets and strong teamwork are essential.
Qualifications
- Cert 3 in Engineering or Certificate of Proficiency in Fitting & Machining (Australian recognised).
- Experience in mechanical installation and repairs.
- Experience with maintenance (preventive, predictive and corrective).
- Ability to modification, commissioning, testing, fault finding and diagnostics.
- Attend breakdowns to all plant and equipment.
- Commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical installation and repairs on site during shutdown.
- Carry out preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot, test, modify and diagnose faults on plant equipment.
- Attend breakdowns and assist with repairs as needed.
- Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
