Job summary

Miro Bay Pty Ltd as Well Hung Glass and Aluminium in Aitkenvale, Townsville, is seeking an experienced Fitter-Welder to join our team on a fulltime basis.

You will interpret drawings, assemble and machine metal components, diagnose faults in mechanical and hydraulic systems, and perform preventative maintenance while keeping records.

The role requires at least two years of relevant experience, trade qualifications, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience as a Fitter-Welder.
• Trade qualifications or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical repairs and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience as a Fitter-Welder
• Relevant trade qualifications (or equivalent)
• Experience with mechanical repairs and metal fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Salary range is $75,000 - $90,000pa commensurate with experience
