Job summary

Zeal Futures invites applicants to begin a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical while gaining hands-on experience with Shoalhaven City Council. You’ll work on installation and maintenance for Water assets, read drawings, mark out jobs, and prepare materials for machining.

Job description

Whilst studying a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical working with Shoalhaven City Council over 4 years, you’ll have the opportunity to work on:

• Carry out installation and maintenance for Shoalhaven Water assets
• Read and interpret drawings and measure components
• Mark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for machining
• Assemble, maintain and repair equipment/machines

What we’re looking for -

• Commitment to both on and off the job training
• Show enthusiasm toward learning opportunities
• Good, clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• Eager to learn a trade

Must-haves -

• White Card
• Drivers licence (P1 and above), and reliable transport
• Working with Children’s Check
• NSW National Police Check
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical (audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol screening, functional capacity assessment)
