Qualifications

• Trade certificate in mechanical fitting or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Strip and survey pumping equipment noting parts identification and condition.
• Apply fault-finding methodologies for pumps per QA procedures.
• Carry out pressure testing to verify pump function.
• Read job cards to determine status, authorizations, and problems.
• Rebuild pumping equipment per applicable standards.
• Support staff development through training regimes.
• Provide adaptable, customer-focused service delivery.

Job Summary

The Machinery Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations. This role supports the maintenance team by identifying mechanical issues and assisting in equipment upkeep. This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously.

We are looking for a Pump Fitter to join our Maitland Service Centre team in Australia.

Please note, no visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Stripping and survey pumping equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition in
• Employ fault finding methodology for pumps repair accordance with QA procedures
• Carrying out pressure testing of pumps to ensure functioning correctly
• Reading and checking job cards to determine job status, work authorizations / limitations, estimate, description of problems, and /or expected serviceability
• Rebuild pumping equipment in accordance with applicable pump standards
• Support and encourage personnel development through organized training regimes
• Provide service delivery that is customer focused, flexible and adaptable
