Job summary

Ebsray is seeking a hands-on Fitter/Turner to join our Cromer site on Sydney's Northern Beaches. You will manufacture, assemble, repair and test pump products, reading engineering drawings and setting up metalworking equipment to ensure quality and precision.

Maintain in-house machinery, diagnose faults and contribute to lean improvements. Onsite parking, uniform, PPE and tools supplied, plus opportunities for additional hours and an annual incentive program.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fitter/turner with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Job description

Reporting to the Fitting Shop Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the manufacture, assembly, repair and testing of Ebsray products. This is a hands-on Fitter/Turner role based at our Cromer site on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Key responsibilities

Bench fitting, assembly and testing of pump products

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Maintaining in-house equipment including radial drills, lathes, hydraulic presses, spray booths and test stations

Repairing and overhauling in-house pumps

Setting up and operating metalworking machinery

Turning, milling, drilling, grinding and other machining operations

Heat shrinking of components and broaching keyways on shafts

Fitting and assembling metal components and sub-assemblies

Diagnosing faults and repairing or replacing defective components

Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
