Wellways Australia is hiring a First Nations Recovery Worker to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW. You will work in the Community Living Support program, delivering culturally safe, recovery‑oriented support in community settings.

The role requires travel across the region, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to helping participants achieve their goals in line with their cultural values.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated cultural safety when supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
• Strong communication and relationship-building within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to travel across the region to meet participant needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, culturally safe and recovery-focused support to participants in the community.
• Support participants to identify goals and develop recovery plans.
• Foster connections with families, communities, services and cultural supports to promote wellbeing.
