Job summary

Children’s Ground is seeking a part-time First Nations Research & Evaluation Officer to support data collection, analysis, and storytelling with communities across Central Australia. The role centers First Nations leadership and data sovereignty, enabling local ownership of evidence and learning.

Work alongside the R&E team to strengthen local evaluation capacity, share knowledge, and ensure culturally safe practices across all activities.

Qualifications

• Connection to First Nations communities or demonstrated experience with First Nations people.
• Understanding of community-led approaches to research, evaluation and decision-making.
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse communities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Engage with First Nations families and communities about research and evaluation activities.
• Explain how information is collected, used and reported to stakeholders.
• Support building R&E knowledge and skills among First Nations staff and families.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis and reporting to reflect community priorities.
• Support dissemination of findings to inform local planning and advocacy.
