Job summary

Charles Sturt University is seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Events and Communications Officer, First Nations. You will coordinate and deliver university events across campuses and support First Nations communications to share stories and promote initiatives.

Regular travel and occasional after-hours/weekend work are required. Working within First Nations Student Connect, you will help create culturally respectful experiences for students, staff, communities and partners,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
• Strong organisational and multi-activity coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and event/registration systems, or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience with social media or content creation, or willingness to develop these skills.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
