Job summary

Auto Ingress Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, fabrication, welding and finishing of metal components and structures in accordance with technical drawings, specifications and job requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires trade qualifications in welding, fabrication or related field.
• Previous welder or related trade experience preferred.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience operating welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication equipment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to produce high-quality welds.
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Prepare metal stock for fabrication and welding.
• Measure, mark and cut metal using tools and machinery.
• Shape and bend metal sections and pipes.
• Align components using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Join metal sections using welding, bolting or riveting.
• Inspect welds for bead width, penetration, and quality.
• Clean, grind and smooth welds and components.
• Finish fabricated products by polishing and filing.
