Job summary

Fincon Installations in Sydney is seeking a Welder for a permanent, full-time role. You will fabricate, assemble and repair metal components, read technical drawings and operate MIG, TIG or Arc welding equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position requires a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welding) or 2–3 years of relevant experience, plus a strong commitment to WHS practices. The team offers a competitive salary package with superannuation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welding) or 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in welding and metal fabrication using MIG, TIG, or Arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal components by interpreting technical drawings and selecting appropriate welding methods and materials
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, while preparing materials through cutting, grinding, and cleaning to ensure high-quality welds
• Inspect completed welds, identify defects, and carry out repairs or rework to meet required standards and tolerances
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment across workshop and on-site environments
• Measure, mark, and align materials to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
• Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, cutters, and drilling equipment as required
• Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures, maintain a clean work area, and report progress or issues to supervisors
