Survival Solutions Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician to service and inspect fire protection equipment across the NSW Central Coast, Hunter and Newcastle regions. You will complete initial and annual fire safety services and report via Uptick, with duties including installing alarms and evacuation diagrams.
You must have prior fire service experience, NCC/AS 1851 knowledge, and strong communication skills in English.
Survival Solutions Fire Protection is a locally owned and operated fire safety management business, established in 1998 by our current Managing Director, Jeff Terry.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fire Service Technician to join our team. Our head office is located in Tuggerah on the NSW Central Coast, with work primarily across the Central Coast, Hunter and Newcastle regions.

Inspect and service fire protection equipment and identify and report non-compliance.
Conduct and manage initial and annual fire safety services.
Complete service jobs using our online client management system, Uptick.
Mark up and install evacuation diagrams.
Install fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
Install and program wireless smoke alarms.
Assist our electrical and plumbing trades as required.
Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
Work in accordance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards and company procedures.
Report to the Operations Manager.
Previous experience working as a Fire Service Technician is essential.
Good understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), relevant legislation and Australian Standards relating to fire safety.
Understanding of AS 1851 and fire safety inspection and servicing requirements.
Excellent communication skills and proficient in English.
Confident using an iPad, phone and online systems for service reporting and documentation.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Strong time management skills.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to service delivery.
Previous fire service industry experience.
Willingness to obtain relevant industry accreditations as required.
Current NSW manual driver's licence.
Current WHS qualifications/tickets, including a White Card.
Current police check or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to read and understand the NCC, legislation and relevant Australian Standards.
Experience with Uptick is desirable but not essential.
Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
